After sending "Jour de chasse", my first 8C of the year, I was in good shape, and came back to the Recloses roof, to try La mécanique élémentaire, which start as Jour de Chasse, but finish in Opium (8A).
Le bloc se décompose en deux parties, une premiere partie commune à jour de Chasse, très difficile à maitriser, avec un talon très important. Puis la fin d'Opium, avec un balan très difficile a prendre, surtout après une dizaine de mouvements.
This boulder is in two part, a first common partlike Jour de Chasse, very hard to master, with a very hard heel hook. Then the end of Opium, with a very difficult swing to take, especially after ten movements.
Comme je me suis rendu là bas pour rejoindre Neil Hart qui devait me filmer dans ce bloc, je n'avais pas le choix, il fallait l'enchainer à cette séance. Je m'échauffe bien en me remémorant la fin d'Opium quelques fois.
As I went there to meet Neil Hart who wanted to film me in this boulder, I had no other choice except to do it during this session. So I did a good warm up doing the last part of Opium 3 times.
Et à mon premier essai de cette séance, je réussis le bloc, qui était en parfaites conditions, surtout que j'avais de très bonnes sensations en tenue de prises...
And at my first try of this session, I was on top of this boulder, with perfect friction, and I also had really good sensation with my finger strengh...
Puis pour finir cette journée en beauté, j'ai rejoins un ami au bas cuvier, ou j'enchaine aussi au premier essai "Apothéose assis", 8A et dernier bloc qui me restait à faire sur ce très connu bloc de Carnage...
To finish this good day, I join a friend at the Bas cuvier crag, where I was able to send "Apothéose assis", 8A, which was my last problem on this famous Carnage boulder...
