Bleau Open Bouldering Sensation

Ce week end, beaucoup de grimpeurs (nord de la France et Benelux) étaient présents à la salle Bleau (Gant) en Belgique pour disputer le contest annuel!!

hard slab, also for the feet!

Une compétition disputée sur trois jours, avec le dimanche une vague pour les meilleurs grimpeurs, suivie des finales. Tout commence par un contest de 40 blocs dans vraiment tous les styles (dalle, réta, physique, résistance, jeté...)
It's a 3 days comp, and on sunday, a session for the best climbers, followed by the finals. It was a 40 problems contest in all different styles (slab, mantle, powerfull, endurance, dyno...)

qualif

Pour rentrer en finale chez les hommes, avec un contest assez difficile sur 4h, nous devions faire plus de 30 blocs. Et à ce jeu la, je termine premier des qualifs suivi de Loic Timmermans, Jérôme de Boeck, Kevin Lopata, Nicolas Farcy, and Jarno Zwiebel.
We must send more than 30 problems to go into the final round, and I was first of the contest, followed by Loic Timmermans, Jérôme de Boeck, Kevin Lopata, Nicolas Farcy, and Jarno Zwiebel.

slab

En finale, c'est un format de coupe du monde qui nous attend. Un premier bloc assez facile, avec un petit réta, que tout le monde sort à vue.
Le second bloc est dans un grand dévers, très physique, que personne jusqu'à ce que je passe n'avait réussi à sortir. Je me dis que si je veux marquer un grand coup pour la victoire, c'est le moment de le faire... Et après une bonne concentration, ça passe à vue!!
Le troisième bloc, pas très dur jusqu'à une grosse pince, ou il fallait ramener dessus et ensuite jeter au bac final. Nico le sort en 3 essais, donc ce bloc est possible, et après un bon combat, je jète dans le bac, et ça tient... à vue aussi!!
Pour finir, quand tout le monde est à bout de force, un bloc très à sensations, avec un réta très hasardeux. Jarno le sort, suivi de Jérôme, qui en profite en revenant de son bloc pour me dire que c'est très dur... J'arrive donc au pied du bloc bien déterminer à faire la finale parfaite, me concentre,       et un gros combat plus tard, je rampe sur le réta et termine cette finale en beauté.
In final, it's a world cup format. the first problem is quite easy, and everyone flash it.
Problem 2 is in an impressive overhang, really powerfull, and before me, nobody did it. At this moment, I am wondering if I send it, it's a good thong for the win of the comp... And after a good observation, and concentration, it's done, and flash..!
Problem 3 was not so hard to a big pinch, where we must match, and jump to a big final jug. Nico did it at the 3rd try, so it is possible, and after a big fight on the pinch, i finally jump, and flash this problem.
Last boulder, when all the climbers are without power, is a really tricky mantle. Jarno and Jerome send it, and they say to me that it's really hard. But I want to flash all the problem. And after a big fight on the mantle, I finally stand up on the top of the boulder!!

Final 3

Pour résumer cette compet, c'était comme chaque année depuis 4ans que j'y participe (et gagne); un vrai plaisir, avec une bonne ouverture, des personnes sympathiques, et une bonne organisation!!
To sumarize this comp, it was like every year great to take part to this, with good routesetting, good peoples, and good organisation.

Totally destroyed after finals!!
